Returning an Item

You may return an item to us within 28 days from receipt of delivery.

To obtain a refund of your original delivery charge you must inform us that you wish to return the item within 14 days of receipt of delivery, by following the instructions in our returns policy

After this period we are not obliged to refund this charge.

 

Items returned within the 14 day cooling off period

By law, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments) Regulations 2013, you have the right to withdraw/cancel from the purchase of an item up to 14 days after the date the item is delivered.

The Consumer Contracts Regulations are designed to protect customers who are not physically present with the seller at the time of purchase. They cover purchases made via email and the internet, together with telephone and mail order.

They only apply to transactions between businesses and consumers (individuals acting outside the course of their business) and do not include business-to-business contracts and auctions.

Where you are cancelling your purchase, within the 14 day cooling off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, we will refund the cost of the item and original delivery charges as follows:

  • Where you are returning an item that was part of a larger order, we are not obliged to refund any of the delivery charge.
  • Where you are returning an entire order, we will refund the full delivery charge you incurred unless a timed delivery was specified when the order was placed.
  • If you wish to cancel/withdraw from the contract, please inform us as soon as possible, and no later than 14 days after delivery of the goods. You may cancel by any method, but we would ask that you confirm any cancellation in writing or or via our website/ email. Cancellation will be taken as from the date that you informed us of your decision.

Please follow the instructions in our returns policy to obtain a returns number which needs to be written on the outside of the parcel. The goods must then be returned to us within 14 days of you informing us that you wish to cancel. We will then refund the cost of the item and original delivery costs within 14 days of receipt of the goods by us.

** When trying on items, if you find that the item is the wrong size, please be aware that if you handle the goods beyond what is reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature of the goods, for example, if there are any marks on the item (from deodorants/creams/make-up etc.) or have been worn, we may reduce the refund by a reasonable amount to reflect the diminishment in value of the product as the item is no longer in its original condition.

Please could you also ensure that any tags are still attached to the item and all packaging is included, if tags and packaging are not returned with the garments as noted then a refund cannot be offered.

The return postage cost is payable by the customer.

If you require an exchange, please place a new order online.

 

Items returned within 28 days

If after 14 days and up to 28 days, you wish to return your purchase, you can do so and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the items. Newitts, in these circumstances, will not refund original delivery or return costs.

Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is damaged or defective, we will provide with a returns label for you to use when sending the item's' concerned back.

Please follow the instructions in our returns policy obtain a returns number.

If you choose to send back the goods by courier or a recorded service, then we will only refund the postage amount up to the original outgoing delivery charge. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 5 days of our receiving your return. Newitts will check all items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item's' and to recover our fees and expenses from you.

Please retain any faulty items until a member of staff at Newitts informs you it can be disposed of.

Your Statutory Rights are not affected.

Newitts offer a 1 year guarantee on all products purchased.

 

Exceptions

Racket strings - due to the nature of the game, are not guaranteed;

Cricket bats - In normal use, superficial face and edge marks along with slight surface cracking will occur. This is to be expected; it does not detract from the performance of the bat and may be ignored.

Other damage, such as splitting of the toe as a result of hitting a yorker, or damage caused by a mis-timed shot (which happens to even the best player!) can more often than not be repaired and the repaired bat will continue to give excellent service.

The bat should be returned to us after obtaining a returns number - we will evaluate the problem and assess the extent and viability of any work that may be necessary and make arrangements to have this carried out for you.

Mouthguards - due to hygiene reasons, opened mouthguards are unable to be returned.
