3 out of 5 Lightweight, useful for checking seam presentation
Newitts Verified Purchase (16 Aug 2022)
I got the senior red/white ball. In the website image it suggests that the red side is dimpled, so I thought it would be useful for swing. In reality the red side is shiny also.
The ball is quite lightweight, about 3.2oz vs 5.75oz for a hard ball. Ball size is slightly smaller, but not enough to be noticeable.
On one of the balls the internal packing is uneven which results in a soft spot.
The seam is quite pronounced which makes the ball carry through the air well, and it grips the ground well for practicing seam on an astro wicket.
I wouldn't use these for a kids match ball as they are a lot lighter than a proper Aero Ball. The plastic join is also a bit pronounced which could be painful if it cracks you.

5 out of 5 Perfect for concrete
I bought this to practice in the carpark at work because of the lockdown. Good weight to it and behaves reasonably similar to a real cricket ball. Definitely good for younger hands' catching practice

3 out of 5 Not sure what surface it's meant for
Newitts Verified Purchase (31 Aug 2017)
Bought these to use with U8s but doesn't bounce enough on grass unless the bowler is reasonably quick. When used on concrete or in the nets the bounce is better but the seam gets damaged quickly.

4 out of 5 excellent product

An excellent training ball for a very reasonable price. My kids love it as they can have the leather feeling and I like it because I know they won't get injured if hit.
