  I coach players with disabilities, especially learning disabilities, and since introducing these 'soft touch' balls into training I have been able to engage some of the more vulnerable players in the training. Previously, with such a diverse group of players, some who could play mainstream football to others who found it hard to kick a ball, it was hard to keep everyone feeling safe when balls were being kicked around and the less able were reluctant to get involved. These balls have given those players confidence that they will not be hurt by the ball and encouraged them to get involved.
